About Pinelands
Pinelands Recovery Center of Medford, part of the Discovery Addiction Centers family, is widely known as one of New Jersey’s most beautiful, most respected substance use disorder (SUD) treatment facilities. This stress-free setting is surrounded by a sense of warmth and welcome, which enables you to feel comfortable and confident about your road to recovery.
We provide scientifically designed treatment programs to help build a successful path to recovery for any individual who is struggling with a substance use disorder. One of the ways we do this is by using a measurement approach unique to our industry.
We carefully monitor 27 distinct wellness indicators in our patients before, during, and after their time with us. Not only does this help us gain a complete picture of our patients’ needs, it also helps us create effective, personalized treatment plans…even after they leave our care.
Our History
Pinelands Recovery Center of Medford opened in the New Jersey area in November 2018.
Before 2018, our treatment center was operating as Ambrosia New Jersey. The new and improved Pinelands has become a residential campus.

Nestled in a serene, wooded backdrop, Pinelands Recovery Center of Medford is truly a destination for healing and recovery. Our two residential facilities, situated on 40 lush acres, evoke a warm, lodge-like feel that is truly unique.
Creating Connections at Pinelands
We believe that peer interaction is an essential component in recovery. Our common rooms are the heart of our homes where connections are made and bonds are formed through therapy and support groups.
There’s a space and place for everyone, including quiet alcoves that are ideal for private reflection, as well as larger rooms designed for meetings, TV watching, video gaming, music, ping pong, darts, art projects and more during free time. Our fire pit area is a much-loved gathering place, both night and day, for breaks and intimate conversations.
We encourage patients to explore activities such as basketball, tennis, volleyball, yoga and time at the gym. Reconnecting with their bodies and finding new, more adaptive ways to manage stress are important steps as we prepare patients for life after rehab.

Our Approach
While our residential homes are comfortably sized, our patients are never lost in a crowd. We purposely limit the size of our groups to ensure a small patient-to-provider ratio.
